The Muttart Conservatory has been all abuzz with the anticipation ofthe of the Corpse Flower bloom. This giant plant has a purple-red flower that not only mimics the look of red meat but also stinks like a dead body. Last night our Unplug & Recharge Meditation Class had the privilege of meditating next to this outcast of the flower world. In the scientific world, it's called "amorphophallus titanum" but the Muttart staff have affectionately nicknamed it "Putrella". The flower's stench is reputed to be over-powering but fortunately for our class, the plant hasn't bloomed yet. A reddish tinge can be seen along the edge of the flower bud so blossoming may be imminent. The growth of the plant since last week's class has been shocking and brings to mind "The Little Shop of Horrors". Will next week's meditation class have to move to another pyramid to escape the odourific wrath of Putrella? Stay tuned!
